Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of every young person at CXNNECTED is our highest priority.

Our Commitment

At CXNNECTED, we are committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where all young people can thrive. We take the responsibility of caring for the young people entrusted to us very seriously.

Our safeguarding policies and procedures are designed to protect children and young people from harm and ensure their wellbeing in all our activities and programs.

Key Safeguarding Policies

Child Protection

All our leaders and volunteers undergo enhanced vetting and DBS Checks and volunteer orientation that goes in depth regarding safeguarding before serving with young people.

Supervision Ratios

We maintain appropriate adult-to-youth ratios at all times. No young person is left alone with a single adult, and we follow the "two-adult rule" in all settings.

Communication Guidelines

All communication between leaders and youth follows strict guidelines. Group chats are monitored.

Reporting Procedures

We have clear procedures for reporting any concerns about a young person's safety or wellbeing. All concerns are taken seriously and acted upon immediately.

Code of Conduct

All volunteers and staff sign and adhere to a code of conduct that outlines appropriate behavior and boundaries when working with young people.

For Parents & Guardians

We encourage parents to be involved in their teen's youth ministry experience. You're welcome to:

  • Visit any of our Friday night gatherings
  • Ask questions about our programs and activities
  • Speak with our youth leaders at any time
